Payment Dates & Frequency

When you begin a subscription with Karmo, you can choose the frequency and day in which your recurring subscription payments are made. These payment preferences cannot be changed until you refresh into a new vehicle.

Your recurring subscription fee

Your recurring subscription may be made up of one or many of the following:

Base subscription cost

  • Your weekly/fortnightly/monthly subscription fee before any upgrades

Optional upgrades

  • Cost of each additional driver

  • Karmo Care, if you have opted to reduce the damage excess fee

  • Risk Premium, if you have damaged a Karmo vehicle and were at fault, or have consistently failed to make payments on time

Ad-hoc charges

  • Excess KM Fees, only if you exceeded your Weekly KM Allowance in the previous week

  • Tolls and administration fees, only if they have been routed to Karmo due to no e-Tags or insufficient balances available on your e-Tag

  • Infringement administration fees, only if you have infringements whilst driving a Karmo Vehicle

Billing periods

Your first payment will be prorated based on your payment preferences.

Your ongoing subscription bills cover a complete weekly/fortnightly/monthly payment period. To keep things simple, we don't do partial payments β€” what you see is what you pay.

Our Balance Guarantee ensures that if you return your car mid-cycle, you'll never lose a cent. Any remaining balance is automatically credited to your next car, or refunded if you're moving on. Simple as that.
