Regardless of the reason for your swap, the process is the same.
When you return your vehicle, you will need to follow the same steps as outlined in the Drop-off Process article, here. Similarly, collecting your new vehicle will follow the same as outlined in the Pick-up Process article, here.
Transfer of Bond & Security Deposit
The Bond and Security Deposit from the vehicle you returned will be carried over to your new vehicle, if it was not consumed by fees and charges on the returning vehicle.
Example Scenario
Anthony is returning his Toyota Corolla. He paid a $500 Bond and $530 Security Deposit, totalling $1,030. When he returned his vehicle, inspection revealed an uncleaned, dirty interior. For Kamo’s cleaning costs, a $150 cleaning fee will be added. This fee will be taken out of the Bond and Security Deposit, so this means his remaining Bond and Security Deposit balance is $880.
He is now swapping into a Toyota RAV4, which requires a $500 Bond and $660 Security Deposit, totalling $1,160.
The $880 Bond and Security Deposit balance is automatically transferred to his new vehicle, leaving him with $280 outstanding to pay in Security Deposit for his Toyota RAV4.
